a very....very tough task to compile the list of alltime top ten
most infuential or greatest actors from this great Hindi Bollywood
film industry of India.
So, if you are somewhat disagree somewhere then before writing
angry or abusive comments kindly try to understand few things from
our point-of-view.. We are aware of following things :--
--That Guru Dutt and Raj kapoor are missing from this list..that's
because we have come up with This list taking into consideration
the three major factors which are - 1) Long-term popularity
and mass impact 2) Looks, styling and fan following
3) number of superhit films and overall popularity
so, according to our metrics based on these factors, Dev
Anand outshines Guru Dutt and Raj Kapoor for 2nd place...
-- That Shashi and Shammi Kapoor are missing,
for that we can only say that since we have to only pick the Alltime
"BEST TEN" then at Third place definitely Rajesh Khanna
is best choice due to his SuperStardom
and 15 consecutive superhits..Khanna's rise had actually almost
finished the career of shashi kapoor, shammi kapoor and many others
in late Sixties through early seventies
by now we have crossed 1950s , 1960s, and early 1970s seventies
We think very few should be surprised to see Amitabh there
and Dharamendra is there as he is alltime most handsome hero of
bollywood industry ever. Due to Dharmendra's long time popularity
we preferred him over Rajendra Kumar and Sunil Dutt..
We really had tough time thinking about Vinod Khanna, Rishi
Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, sunny Deol and Sanjay Dutt but due to limited
vacancies they are ommitted....because for their own different reasons
they actually couldn't reach the #1 spot in their times.
Vinod khanna and many others were always overshadowed by
Amitabh Bachchan's SuperStardom
throughout the seventies and mid-eighties... as per our metrics
and considered factors, Mithun-Da scores over Rishi kapoor and Anil
Kapoor..his mass fan following earns him the 6th spot in our list..
We think Jeetendra too loses to mithun by a very narrow margin for
6th spot. Jeetendra didn't enjoy such a huge fan following ever.
Few will object the inclusion of "Three Khans"
as everyone knows they are dominating the industry for past two
decades. It is also a fact that the Govinda kind of cinema(David
Dhawan films co-starring Karisma Kapoor) couldn't actually take
the mainstream path due to the Khan dominance throughout 1990s and
mid 2000s.
here, HRITHIK ROSHAN fans, at 10th spot there was a tough
fight between Hrithik and Akshay Kumar and we go for Akshay due
to his long-term overall success(more on that is posted HERE)
and number of (hit) films and domestic / international fan following....Hrithik
loses by a very narrow margin to Akki and if he does better in coming
years then he definitely deserve a spot in this List of Top Ten
All-time Greatest, Most Popular and Most Influential and Memorable
Actors Ever in the History of Bollywood Film Industry of India..
Now, young College going readers, I am really sorry I cannot
include Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor or Imran / Emraan...NOT YET...These
guys need to prove their mettle in many more coming years because
competition is really tough and these top ten are really Too Strong
in some way to displace from this list as its years of hard work,
talent and box office success and popularity which make them extraordinory
to get a spot in this very difficult-to-compile list of alltime
greatest Bollywood actors..
