Bollywood Latest Updates and Verdicts on Hits and Flops of the Year 2010 : - (Movies are Ranked in the order of release Dates)Hits of 20101) My Name is Khan 1) Veer - Salman Khan's Epic movie Veer is actually proving to be an earner in Small towns and single screens (It's not a Flop as been presented by some online and electronic media)...Multiplex business got lower openings and Veer is below average in Metros but overall due to a Huge fan base of Salman Khan in smaller centers, it is well received and being (atleast once) watched by Salman fans in big numbers thus becoming above average/semi hit in many regions in its first week...Movie is Above average and is not a losing affair for many distributors... 2) 3 Idiots - Though released in December last year, 3 Idiots is continuing its successfull run Throught January 2010 and has become one of the All time Blockbusters...First biggest Hit of 2010... Flops of 2010 (Listed in Order of their release)1) Toh Baat Pakki 2) Rann 3) Dulha Mil Gaya - Flopped all over... 4) Pyaar Impossible - Flop... 5) Chance Pe Dance - Chance pe Dance got below average openings... one of the first major flops of 2010... Previous Commentaries : -Veer - Salman Khan's Veer got a Bumper Opening in single screens and small towns of The country. Big Cities and multiplex audience response was just average..Reports are mixed but strong fan base of Salman Khan in smaller cities will watch this movie atleast once so By monday it will be clear whether Veer is going to be overall Hit or Average... Chance pe Dance - Shahid Kapoor's Chance Pe Dance Opened to below average response all over. Reports are not encouraging..Will struggle to leave a mark on Box 0ffice...Below Average / Flop... Bollywood 2010 Outlook : -3 Idiots' huge gross collections have come as a very good sign for Bollywood industry at the start of year 2010. Multiplex Boom is on it's peak and now Multiplex business is rapidly expanding in smaller towns and cities in all states of India. It is going to give Big platform to producers and distributors who plan for big and wide releases to cash in on first and second weekend business of Multiplexes. Now after thumping success of 3 idiots at the start of 2010, all eyes are set on the Biggest release of this year 'My Name Is Khan' from the winning combination of Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Karan Johar's previous movies were released on a wide scale all over the world and this time whole Industry is expecting even bigger release. Music is already hit and promos of 'My name is Khan' has started to create excitement and curiosity about the movie.
