Tanu Weds Manu Box Office

Tanu Weds Manu is a delightful watch, In true sense, this film is the Best Romantic comedy After Jab We Met. R. Madhavan plays the role of a guy named Manoj Sharma (Manu) who is an NRI Doctor from London. Manu is a very simple man (The epitome of the good boy, or a Seedha saadha ladka) who comes to India under 'Family Pressure' to Meet (or Wed) Tanuja Trivedi (Tanu).

Manu visits Tanu's home to complete a Ladki Dekho ceremony. Though he does this to please his parents, In the act he actually falls in Love with Tanu (Love at first sight). Tanu, On her part, is totally drunk during this meeting. Tanu thinks (and hopes) that after seeing her in this condition Manu will reject her and run away. Tanuja Trivedi (Tanu) Is dead against arranged marriage!

Next day, when she comes to know that Manu has said 'Yes' for the marriage, and both the families are planning to marry them off at the earliest, She tells Manu that she already has a boyfriend and doesn't want to marry him. She tells that HE should inform both the families as all this 'Mess' is created by him.

After this, Their marriage is called off and a broken hearted Manu wants to return to London. Manu's friend Pappi (Deepak Dobriyal) Informs him that one of their common friend wants them to attened his wedding in Punjab. Pappi tells Manu that he should come to punjab with him and Chill out for some time before going back to London. Manu agrees to this and goes to Punjab.

It so happens that Their Punjabi friend's wife-to-be is a close friend of Tanu who is also coming to Punjab for attending this wedding.

Kangana Ranaut has played the character of a bold, stubborn and rebellious girl who does everything her parents disapprove. Tanu's character is shown as a Delhi University pass-out girl who has many boyfriends in past and is a regular at smoking and drinking.

Performances - Kangana and Madhvan are terrific as Tanu and Manu, Deepak Dobriyal is excellent in his role of a supportive friend of Manu. His Character has probably got the most applause from the audience.
