| After giving successful movies like Jab We Met and Love Aaj Kal, Imitiaz Ali’s next major project will be a movie named - Rockstar.
Imtiaz Ali has signed Ranbir Kapoor as the male lead hero for the Movie Rockstar. Nargis Fakhri has been paired alongwith Ranbir Kapoor as the female lead of Rockstar.
Lyrics of Rockstar will be written by Irshad Kamil and Music of will be composed by A.R. Rahman.
Other cast members of Rockstar include Piyush Mishra and Shammi Kapoor. The shooting began on May 2010 and the film is scheduled to release by mid-2011.
The shooting took place at locations across Delhi including, Kotla Mubarakpur, Nizamuddin Auliya Dargah, Greater Kailash, IGI airport and Connaught Place, and three-day schedule at the St. Stephen's College, followed by one at the Hindu College, director Imtiaz Ali's alma mater, during the winter break of these colleges
