FINAL VERDICT for JTHJ & SOS:- JTHJ vs SOS both films have crossed
100 crore earnings at domestic box office. JTHJ did much better overseas
and final verdict is superhit for both films. Latest KHILADI 786 Update - KHILADI 786 Opened to packed houses in
single screens..North and central regions are excellent as per expectations
for this genre of an Akshay Kumar masala film..Multiplexes are average
to good and excellent in some metros of the above mentioned regions BUT
Film is getting Mixed to NEGATIVE initial reviews which put some question
marks on the collections of coming days..Check back this space for collection

The journey Salman started with WANTED(2009) Is just getting
more fuel and pace, as riding on his huge fan base and the affection
by his die-heart and ever growing fan following seems to be becoming
so dominating at the box-office, that SALMAN KHAN has become almost
the third (and the only one) superstar after AMITABH BACHCHAN...and
these are not mere words.. his recent films' openings, grossings
and collections speak about his achievements as all these films
like WANTED, DABANNG, READY and EK THA TIGER GOT Such huge openings
at box office that the new term "100 crore club" was

and EK THA TIGER....Two earlier films can also be added to this
genre --> TERE NAAM(2003) and GARVV(2004)...
ALL THESE FILMS Are being created by best story writers,
best directors, best stunt directors and expert, dedicated technicians
who know very well what Salman Khan fans want their hero to do...
this huge fan following is served by best dialogues, best music-songs
and the very best looks of Salman, with the back-up of state of
the art stunt scenes and styling of salman khan (Remember the
last action hero tagline for DABANGG promotions?) the next in
line is DABANGG-2 , and not surprisingly its also being promoted
in teasers as 'more styles', 'more stunts' taglines just to incash
his popular image developed over recent years, and to insure another
big bang, record breaking opening for the latest one DABANGG 2....
it seems '100 crore club' is a very tiny milestone for this film
which is hitting screens on 21st december 2012.. prediction about
opening day collections of dabangg 2?? 25-30 crores on first day??
or 30-35 crore collections on day one ??? we are clueless...but
it will be huge... very huge...we can easily predict a groundbreaking
boxoffice opening for DABANGG-2 for sure

kumar is the Actor
who has seen most ups and down in his career from the outset. But
it is also accepted by many that he is the only "non- khan"
actor who has seen the most success in past two decades. He has
successfully proven his box office power several times despite the
3 khans' domination in past 20 years.
Akshay
started his carreer in the same time when other fellow
actors debuted in early nintees(saif,
ajay
devgn, srk
and salman)
and got success in creating a different identity for himself. He
was known for his good dancing skills and stunt scenes. Akshay
got his first hit films in "khiladi"(1992)
and "yeh dillagi"(1994)..
Then he got more success in "main khiladi
tu anari" and "MOHRA"(1994)... Mohra was a blockbuster
of its time..by this time he was even compared to "AMITABH
BACHCHAN" BY few critics and was giving fierce competition
to other fellow actor"shah rukh khan". At this point both
were gunning for the top spot in bollywood.
At this time AKSHAY made the mistake of signing so many
bad films which became back to back flops ...on other hand SRK joined
Yash raj and karan johar camp and saw himself established at first
spot(more on that in other post).
Coming back to the ups and downs of AKSHAY KUMAR...despite
several flops in a row., Akshay's khiladi image was trusted by producers
and he then gave back to back hits in his khiladi series films like
khiladi, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi , Mr. and Mrs.
Khiladi , International Khiladi and Khiladi 420.
Akshay kumar saw his best time in bollywood in 2007-2008
when his films were back to back blockbusters in india and overseas..
at this point He had overtaken all three khans and hrithik when
films like Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Phir Hera Pheri , Namastey London,
Heyy Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa , Welcome and Singh Is Kinng were back
to back blockbusters and he was at the best of his career.
But then again Akshay's bad choices of films resulted in
back to back flops in Tashan, Chandni Chowk to China, 8 X 10 Tasveer,
tees maar khan and BLUE
then he got success in housefull and housefull-2 but then
"Action Replayy" and "patiala house" flopped
and he dropped again.
2012's "RAWDY RATHORE" gave AKSHAY his biggest
opening and blockbuster so far but again he worked in a bad movie
"joker" which flopped.. So stakes are high for his next
khiladi series film after many years. The upcoming film is titled
Khiladi
